We are located in downtown White Plains, on Mamaroneck Avenue, in-between East Post Road and Maple Ave. Diagonal from the White Plains Fire Department, one block over from the YMCA, right next to Sam Ash Music store.

* Please note there is an entrance as well as ample parking in the REAR of the store. We have two spots in the private parking lot labeled 5 and 6, please use those spots only.

From Rockland County and northern New Jersey
(via the Tappan Zee Bridge):
Take I-287 Eastbound (Cross Westchester Expressway) to Exit 8W (Westchester Mall Exit). The exit ramp divides into 4 lanes. Stay on the second lane from the left. The sign above should read towards Maple Avenue. You make a wide left turn onto Bloomingdale Road, and then your first right turn onto Maple Ave.

* After 4 short lights you hit Mamaroneck Avenue. If you made a right turn then, Thomson’s would be immediately on the left hand side. But its easier to instead cross over Mamaroneck Avenue and make a right turn into the Municipal lot, park your car, and walk around.

From Connecticut Turnpike or Route 684 South
Take I-287 Westbound (Cross Westchester Expressway) to exit 6. Proceed to light, stay to the left and follow signs into downtown White Plains. Make left in front of the Westchester Mall onto Bloomingdale Road. Make your first right after the Mall onto Maple Ave. Follow directions from above.*

From the Bronx River Parkway – North
(also Central Park Avenue via Rt. 119 Tarrytown Road):
Follow Bronx River Parkway to Exit 21 (White Plains – Main Street). Proceed to traffic light; all traffic must turn right under White Plains R.R. Station. You are now on Main Street. Stay to the right and continue driving past the Galeria Mall till you hit Mamaroneck Avenue. Make a right turn onto Mamaroneck Ave, pass 3 lights and we are on the right hand side after East Post Road.

The School of Liberal Studies & Continuing Education offers affordable, noncredit courses that allow participants to explore personal interests in a noncompetitive learning environment. Take courses in woodworking, acting, comic drawing, and more. Our personal enrichment program also offers students who are not enrolled in a degree program at Purchase College the opportunity to take undergraduate credit courses on a noncredit basis. And you may also take individual courses in any of our noncredit professional certificate programs without making a commitment to the entire program.
Personal enrichment courses are open to the general public.

The Center offers a rich variety of credit and non-credit courses, serving matriculated students as well as the community’s needs for enrichment. The Center’s programs have evolved over the years into a full spectrum of offerings in the visual arts, computer arts, design, craft media, and liberal arts. The Center offers thirteen fully equipped laboratories for Black & White and Digital Photography, Digital Arts, Ceramics, Jewelry/Metalworking, Sculpture, Painting, and Drawing, as well as several Multimedia-equipped lecture rooms.

Conveniently located in downtown White Plains the Arts Westchester is New York State’s largest private, not-for-profit service organization, working to ensure the availability and accessibility of the arts for all of the county’s residents. In 1975, they were named by Westchester County government as the County’s designated arts council and has become one of several united arts funds in the country, providing grants and technical support to cultural organizations and artist residencies in the community. New York Botanical Gardens offered North America’s first formal botanical art certificate program, and has remained a leader in the discipline for three decades. Since 1998, The Katonah Art Center has become Northern Westchester’s go-to hub for artistic learning. With classes for all ages and levels. KAC is known for its warm, supportive environment that provides a creative sanctuary for artists, musicians, illustrators, sculptors, photographers, printmakers, knitters, painters and potters alike. Our instructors are locally and internationally known not only for their art but for their instructional quality. The art center, which has three painting studios, two pottery studios, a children’s art room, an Apple computer lab and specialty studio for printmaking, metals, glass and wood.
